Dr. Becky Eschmann is a veterinarian, public health professional, and Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Preventive Medicine with deep experience at the intersection of clinical practice, preventive medicine, and veterinary communications. She serves as Senior Manager of Veterinary Communications at Nestlé Purina PetCare, where she leads strategic engagement and educational initiatives that support veterinarians and veterinary teams with evidence-based insights and resources to advance animal health and well-being.
Originally from rural Southern Illinois, Dr. Eschmann earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 2012. After graduation, she practiced as a mixed-animal veterinarian, later focusing exclusively on small animal care. Her professional interests in One Health, preventive medicine, and population health inspired her to pursue a Master of Public Health, completed in 2020, and she achieved board certification as a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Preventive Medicine (ACVPM) with certification in public health (CPH) in 2022.
Before joining Purina, Dr. Eschmann served as a clinical assistant professor and small animal educator with Texas A&M University School of Veterinary Medicine’s VERO program, where she contributed to veterinary education and outreach.
At Purina, she combines her clinical experience, public health expertise, and communication skills to build meaningful partnerships with veterinary professionals, promote best practices, and help clinicians translate science into everyday practice.
