MVVMA Donation to Sinclair Foundation

The MVVMA Board voted to donate $1000 to the Sinclair Foundation for the benefit of Veterinary Technology Students. Helping them finish their program of study and pass the VTNE will provide additional staffing resources to members.

Sinclair Veterinary Technology program kicked off a new semester with 11 students completing their final semester, and 24 students ready to begin their clinical experiences. With the redesigned curriculum, students beginning their clinical experiences will actually be earning their Veterinary Assistant Certificate by completing over 150 clinical skills with 100 hours in the clinical space. The hope is to provide a better starting point for veterinary technology students, while providing an improved training experience for your entry-level employees.

Please contact vettech@sinclair.edu if you are interested in hosting a student for 8 weeks from mid-March through mid-May. We work hard to match students with clinic sites that will provide them appropriate mentoring and challenges to help them to grow. Thank you, as always, for helping us to provide these necessary experiences for your next employee!

Do you have a veterinary technician graduate that has not passed the VTNE? If they would like to be included in Sinclair’s online subscription for Vet Tech Prep course at a reduced cost, please contact the department email vettech@sinclair.edu for more information.
